This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
I'm also using iTunes 7.6.1 myself and don't experience any problems.

The problem seems to affect only a minority of users, yet it 
definately exists.

From the backtrace / "Activity Monitor Analyze" logs sent in by 
users, I can tell that - for those that are affected by this iTunes 
bug - iTunes is hanging while working on AppleEvents it received 
(usually those are sent by AppleScripts).

I've also been in touch with other developers and they observe the 
exact same thing. This definately isn't specific to Remote Buddy nor 
its use of AppleScript in conjunction with iTunes. More references 
regarding this can be found in the FAQ.
