Wake on LAN support in iPhone/iPod touch full app

This posting is older than 6 months and can contain outdated information.
Having trailed the application on a iMac G5 which I use as a TV the
one problem is waking the computer in the first instance. This
requires a IR remote in addition to remote Buddy which seems is
perhaps not as elegant as it might be.

I am aware this is not possible under the AJAX client following your
FAQ, "Can I wake up my Mac® using AJAX Remote from my iPod® Touch or
iPhone™? (FAQ015E0210)", which makes sense as a Web browser pushed
from the host machine (which is asleep) is not realistically possible
to wake it.

However he current major drawback of using the iPhone over a Symbian
phone with Salling Clicker is that Bluetooth can wake the computer but
the iPhone using AJAX cannot. Indeed a iPhone wirelessly connecting to
a Mac has the same problems when trying to wake the Mac, as Wi-Fi does
not support the feature, nor does the iPhones current bluetooth stack
seem to allow for much other then for audio support. Connecting the
iPhone over an Airport Express should allow the message to be sent to
the Ethernet port however.

I have been using a WOL programme that is scriptable http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/24421
to wake the computer when using Screen Sharing and wonder what type
of support is likely when the full iPhone/iPod touch app arrives?

An answer is not necessarily required, just that I hope you are
including this in your development plans.
